FAQ

How many seminars do you hold per year?

The groups aim is to hold 6 seminars per year plus the Annual General Meeting which is always held in the month of April. Members are always encouraged to attend the AGM's where a new committee is appointed and the groups aims and ambitions for the next year are announced. The group withholds the right to cancel seminars or add new seminars as and when necessity dictates or is in the best interests of the group. We will however always give as much notice as possible.

What if the subscriptions haven’t been paid can i still attend a seminar?

The committee made a decision in 2014 to charge £10 per seminar for any person(s) whose membership had expired prior to the seminar. The Treasurer spends a great deal of time chasing subscriptions and it was discovered a number of companies had attended seminars whilst subscriptions where outstanding.

Is membership for one person or as a company?

Membership covers the company. It therefore allows different people from the same company to attend seminars. An example of this would be a Human Resources delegate may attend a spercific seminar if the contact person within that company feels it would of more benefit to them. The maximum number of attendees to seminars from any one company is at the discretion of the Group. A list of names will be required by the Secretary prior to attendance at a seminar.

Can i attend a seminar with a view of joining if i find it of interest to me?

We understand that potential members may wish to come along to a seminar in order to gain an understanding of what the events contain and if they would be applicable to new members. We therefore are more than happy to allow potential new members to "try" 1 seminar per season. In all cases though the group Secretary must be contacted prior to the seminar
