The Group held its first on-line meeting on Wednesday 27th May 2020, 18 members attended and the subject was COVID 19 – New working arrangements. A number of issues were discussed such as the use of common facilities – kettles, microwaves, fridges etc and how to maintain social distancing in noisy areas where communication is difficult. Safety in Construction – This seminar was presented by 2 of our members, 1 from a construction company and 1 from the local trade association and they covered issues from both sides of a construction project. Visit to Hereford Fire Station – The visit high-lighted health and safety issues faced by the Fire Brigade in its day-to-day running and how they respond to emergency call outs using the latest equipment and technology. Members were given a tour of the station with a very detailed description of what equipment they had and how it was used
